Junior Options Trader
Overview:
An award-winning NYC hedge fund is looking to add a skilled Junior Execution Trader to their business. This hire will be responsible for trade execution within cash equities and equity options for the growing team.
This role specifically is an excellent opportunity for you regardless of if you work on a sell side sales & trading team, or a competing buyside firm; as this role will give direct exposure to some of the most sophisticated and successful researchers in the industry.
Responsibilities:
- Execute and manage trades for equities and equity options in alignment with research strategies
- Collaborate closely with other team members to implement strategies efficiently and cost-effectively
- Development and implementation of tools for execution analysis, trade automation, and post-trade reporting
- Monitor market conditions, liquidity, and transaction costs to refine execution tactics
Qualifications:
- 0-4 years of experience in trading or a related function at a buy-side or sell-side institution
- Proficiency in Python for data analysis, scripting, or process automation
- Solid understanding of equity and options markets, including market structure and order types
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple workflows under pressure
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
