Investment Risk Analyst - Private Credit
I am working on an Investment Risk opportunity with a strong focus on Private Credit at a leading global investment management firm. In this role, you will work closely with portfolio managers, deal teams, and senior stakeholders to provide independent risk insights that directly influence capital allocation and portfolio construction. The position offers significant exposure across asset classes, with a particular emphasis on private credit investing and credit risk evaluation.
Responsibilities
- Assess portfolio risk across asset classes, with a focus on credit and private investments
- Support new deal underwriting through risk analysis, downside scenarios, and key mitigants
- Monitor market, macro, and credit developments; translate into portfolio implications
- Contribute to portfolio-level risk oversight including concentration, liquidity, and credit risk
- Partner cross-functionally with investment teams on portfolio changes and approvals
- Assist in stress testing, scenario analysis, and portfolio reporting
Qualifications
- 3-6 years of experience in Investment risk, credit risk, or portfolio analytics
- Private credit, direct lending, or structured credit experience required
- Experience supporting investment decision-making or transaction approvals
- Strong qualitative + quantitative skillset (not overly model-heavy)
- Python/R/SQL a plus, but not essential
