Investment Operations Analyst - Global Investment Management
Our client is a leading asset management firm looking to hire an Analyst, Investment Operations to join their Singapore office.
This is a broad APAC-focused investment operations role sitting close to the trade lifecycle, supporting trade matching, settlements, reconciliations, custodian oversight, corporate actions, and cash management across regional markets. The role will work closely with teams across Singapore, Sydney, and global offices, providing day-to-day operational coverage while helping to strengthen a follow-the-sun support model.
- Support trade matching and settlement processes across APAC markets, including monitoring failing and unmatched trades.
- Work with internal trading and operations teams to resolve time-sensitive trade support and settlement issues.
- Maintain and validate custodian settlement instructions and support ongoing custodian relationship management.
- Perform portfolio holdings, trading activity, and cash balance reconciliations, including oversight of outsourced service providers.
- Support custody holdings checks, spendable cash confirmations, cash flow management, and other trading-related operational requests.
- Assist with corporate action monitoring across mandatory and voluntary events.
- Support new account setup for clients, working with internal stakeholders and transition teams.
- Help validate third-party data integrity and support governance across operational processes.
- Respond to internal queries from trading, compliance, operations, and client-facing teams.
- Contribute to specialised projects and process improvements within the investment operations function.
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline preferred.
- At least 2 years of fund accounting, investment operations, trade support, settlements, or related investment management experience.
- Strong understanding of trade lifecycle, post-trade operations, settlement processes, and exception resolution.
- Working knowledge of platforms such as Charles River, DTCC CTM, GTSS, or other post-trade / operations systems would be advantageous.
- Exposure to multiple asset classes such as equities, fixed income, futures, swaps, FX, or credit securities.
- Strong analytical skills and a good understanding of financial accounting principles.
- Detail-oriented, organised, and comfortable handling time-sensitive operational issues.
- Able to work independently while collaborating closely with regional and global teams.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage internal stakeholders, custodians, and outsourced providers.
- Motivated, proactive, and willing to take on broader responsibilities within an investment operations environment.
