Overview: We are currently partnered with a leading middle‑market investment bank is seeking a Investment Banking Associate to join its Specialty Finance Investment Banking team in Atlanta. This group advises non‑bank financial companies, alternative lenders, and asset‑backed finance providers on M&A, capital raises, and strategic transactions. The team is highly active, lean, and offers significant exposure to senior leadership and clients.

The Investment Banking Associate will be responsible for:
- Support execution of M&A, debt, and capital markets transactions within the specialty finance sector
- Build and analyze detailed financial models, valuation analyses, and transaction materials
- Prepare pitch decks, CIMs, management presentations, and investor materials
- Conduct industry, company, and market research
- Participate in due diligence, client meetings, and deal negotiations
- Work closely with Managing Directors, Group Heads, VPs, and clients in a small‑team environment
- Mentor and collaborate with Analysts on deal execution and analytical work
The Ideal Candidate has:
- 3+ Years of Investment Banking Experience
- Prior experience in specialty finance or a generalist FIG role with specialty finance exposure is highly preferred
- Strong closed‑deal experience is required
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
- Demonstrated ties to Atlanta or a clear, compelling reason to be based in Atlanta is required
