Position Overview:
My client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Second-Year Investment Banking Analyst to join their M&A advisory team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior bankers and clients on complex, high-impact transactions, particularly within the firm's core verticals. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, a passion for deal-making, and a demonstrated interest in the firm's focus industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support execution of M&A transactions in the technology, software, business services, and government services sectors
- Build and maintain detailed financial models and valuation analyses
- Conduct industry and company research to support deal execution and business development
- Prepare client presentations, pitch materials, and other transaction-related deliverables
- Collaborate with senior bankers and clients throughout all phases of the M&A process
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from a top-tier institution with a strong academic record
- Minimum GPA of 3.7 on a 4.0 scale
- 1-2 years of experience as an investment banking analyst at a reputable firm
- Demonstrated interest or experience in one or more of the firm's core sectors (tech, software, business services, government services)
- Proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail
