Investment Associate
We are partnering with a Palm Beach-based venture capital firm focused on investing in high-growth technology and defense-related businesses. The firm invests across areas including artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, aerospace, defense technology, software, and data infrastructure.
The Associate will work directly with the investment team across sourcing, market research, due diligence, investment evaluation, and portfolio support. This is an opportunity to join a lean platform, gain meaningful responsibility early, and work alongside senior investors evaluating innovative businesses and emerging technologies.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and analyze prospective investment opportunities
- Conduct industry, market, and competitive landscape research
- Build financial models and perform valuation analyses
- Support investment due diligence and transaction execution
- Prepare investment memoranda and presentation materials
- Participate in management meetings and company evaluations
- Monitor portfolio company performance and support strategic initiatives
- Assist with sourcing and screening new investment opportunities
Qualifications
- 1-4 years of investment banking experience
- Experience at a bulge bracket, elite boutique, or leading middle market investment bank
- Strong academic credentials
- Excellent financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills
- Strong communication and presentation abilities
- Demonstrated interest in investing and technology
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
Preferred Backgrounds
- Technology investment banking experience
- Aerospace & defense investment banking experience
- Exposure to software, AI, cybersecurity, aerospace, or defense-related sectors
