We are currently partnered with a Houston-based middle-market private equity firm seeking to add an Investor Reporting individual to support the firm's investor relations and finance functions. This individual will play a key role in quarterly investor reporting, portfolio company reporting, LP communications, and data management across multiple investment strategies.

The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting and reporting foundation, coupled with excellent analytical and communication skills. This position is well-suited for a professional who enjoys working with financial data, preparing investor-facing deliverables, and collaborating across finance, accounting, and investor relations teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and distribute quarterly and annual LP reporting materials.
  • Support portfolio company reporting, data collection, and performance analysis.
  • Manage investor reporting deliverables and respond to LP information requests.
  • Assist with DDQs, RFPs, consultant questionnaires, and fundraising materials.
  • Maintain investor reporting databases, performance metrics, and supporting documentation.
  • Partner with the CFO, Investor Relations, Finance, and Fund Accounting teams on reporting initiatives.
  • Review and reconcile portfolio company financial information and fund-level reporting.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and operational efficiencies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in audit, assurance, accounting advisory, financial reporting, or fund administration.
  • Must be based in Houston or willing to relocate to the area.
  • Big 4 experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals and financial statements.
  • Ability to review, analyze, and interpret portfolio company and fund-level reporting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and proficiency in Excel.
  • Experience preparing client-, investor-, or management-facing reports is a plus.
  • Exposure to private equity, asset management, investment management, or alternative investments preferred.
  • CPA or progress toward CPA is a plus.
