Investment Associate (IG, HY, Distressed Corporate Credit)
A leading institutional credit investment firm is seeking an Investment Associate to join its research team. The role involves supporting investment due diligence, portfolio monitoring, and various analytical and operational tasks. The associate will work across leveraged loans and high-yield bonds within strategies such as CLOs, total return, and opportunistic credit.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, loan documentation, and other disclosures
- Build and maintain detailed financial models
- Conduct third-party research with industry experts, rating agencies, and market participants
- Source investment opportunities in both primary and secondary markets
- Track market news and developments relevant to portfolio holdings
- Provide position recommendations based on ongoing analysis and market conditions
- Present investment ideas to internal committees
- Support multiple strategies across both leveraged and unleveraged vehicles
Key Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in investment banking, asset management, or a related financial institution
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field
- Strong analytical and modeling skills with a demonstrated interest in credit markets
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to synthesize complex information and present it clearly
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
