Job Title: Client Acquisition and Innovation Lead

Location: Preferred: Baltimore/Towson, MD or Arlington, VA
Start Date: Flexible - ideally by Q1 2026
Compensation Range: $125,000 - $200,000 (commensurate with experience)

My client is a well-established healthcare consulting firm with over two decades of experience delivering innovative, cost-effective solutions to public sector and labor organizations. Their work includes strategic advisory services and the development of onsite health centers that have significantly improved employee health outcomes while managing plan costs.


Position Overview:

This is a high-impact opportunity to join the firm's growing Innovation Practice and lead client acquisition efforts. The role is designed for a strategic, client-facing professional who will work closely with a senior leader who built the innovation function and is now seeking a successor to help scale and evolve the practice.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Engagement & Innovation Strategy

    • Co-lead client engagements, applying creative thinking and adaptive problem-solving to complex healthcare challenges.
    • Collaborate with public sector and labor clients to design and implement innovative health solutions, including onsite care models.
  • Business Development & Market Expansion

    • Identify and pursue new client opportunities, with a focus on expanding into commercial markets.
    • Lead proposal development, RFP responses, and positioning strategies to support organizational growth.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Partner with internal teams including marketing, communications, and other practice areas to align outreach and messaging.
    • Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and thought leadership initiatives.
  • Leadership Development

    • Grow into a leadership role with a clear path to owning business development responsibilities.
    • Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership in shaping the future of the innovation practice.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • 5-10 years of experience in healthcare consulting, employee benefits, or a related field.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build trust across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for building and scaling new initiatives.
  • Comfortable with regional travel (primarily day trips across VA to PA; ~10% overnight).
  • Based near Baltimore/Towson or Arlington preferred, but open to remote candidates with strong alignment.
