Healthcare M&A Associate
A leading middle market investment bank is seeking an Associate to join its Healthcare M&A team in New York. The group is experiencing strong deal flow and advises clients across a broad range of healthcare sectors, including pharma services, healthcare technology, provider services, and medical devices. This is a key role within a fast-growing Healthcare team focused on M&A advisory transactions that offers exposure to senior bankers, clients, and private equity investors.
Responsibilities
- Lead financial modeling and valuation analyses (DCF, LBO, merger models, comps) for live and prospective M&A transactions
- Manage preparation of client deliverables, including pitch books, CIMs, and management presentations
- Oversee due diligence processes, coordinate with clients and third-party advisors, and manage data rooms
- Conduct detailed industry and company research across healthcare subsectors
- Mentor and guide Analysts, reviewing workstreams and ensuring quality of output
- Support senior bankers in managing client relationships throughout the transaction lifecycle
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of investment banking experience, with M&A transaction exposure required
- Healthcare experience preferred, but not required
- Strong financial modeling, analytical, and technical skillset
- Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or progression from Analyst to Associate is typical
