Key Responsibilities:
- Define and own the architecture for global exchange connectivity, including market data and order execution systems
- Build a standardised, cross-market framework to support multiple exchanges and asset classes
- Drive enhancements in latency, system reliability, data accuracy, and operational monitoring
- Establish end-to-end consistency across live trading, historical data, and research environments
- Partner closely with trading, research, risk, and infrastructure teams to translate business needs into technical solutions
- Manage relationships with external vendors, exchanges, and data providers
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing engineering team
- Set engineering best practices across development, testing, and production environments
Key Requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field
- Proven experience designing or leading low-latency trading systems, particularly around market data and execution infrastructure
- Strong expertise in C++ and performance-critical system design (memory, concurrency, networking, etc.)
- Deep understanding of trading system latency optimisation, monitoring, and diagnostics
- Experience building scalable frameworks across multiple markets or asset classes
- Solid understanding of exchange protocols and trading connectivity
- Track record of leading engineering teams in a high-performance environment
- Strong stakeholder management skills across trading, research, and technology teams
Nice to Have (optional):
- Experience with equities and/or futures markets across major global regions
- Exposure to large-scale market data processing and validation workflows
- Familiarity with Python for data analysis or diagnostics
- Experience evaluating and integrating third-party data vendors or connectivity providers
