Head of Accounting
A corporate services family office based in Luxembourg, is looking for a Head of Accounting. They provide tailored solutions for high-net-worth individuals and corporate clients, combining expertise in structuring, administration, and compliance with a strong focus on client relationships and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the accounting function for a portfolio of entities, ensuring compliance with local regulations and company standards.
- Manage and mentor a team of 3 accounting professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Supervise the preparation and review of tax declarations, including corporate income tax, VAT, and subscription tax.
- Act as the primary point of contact for accounting and administrative matters, working closely with corporate officers and senior stakeholders.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with clients, external advisors, and local authorities, ensuring exceptional service delivery.
- Drive the implementation and continuous improvement of accounting systems, processes, and internal controls.
- Provide strategic input on financial structuring, reporting, and optimization opportunities.
Profile:
- Minimum 15 years of experience in the financial sector in Luxembourg, with extensive expertise in holding entities, structuring, and securities bookkeeping.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; expert-comptable diploma strongly preferred.
- Proven track record in leadership roles, managing teams and complex accounting operations.
- Deep knowledge of Luxembourg accounting standards, statutory requirements, and tax implications.
- Familiarity with securitisation structures is an advantage.
- Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to manage priorities under tight deadlines.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with a hands-on and solution-oriented approach.
- Fluent in French and English; additional languages such as Portuguese, Spanish, or Polish are a plus.
- Professional presence and excellent interpersonal skills.
