Full Stack Engineer - Leading Hedge Fund (London)
Our client, a world-renowned hedge fund, is seeking a talented Full Stack Engineer to join their London office. This is a rare opportunity to contribute to one of the fund's core business areas, driving high-impact, cross-functional initiatives. You'll take ownership of critical projects and play a key role in shaping the next generation of pre-trade analytics and risk management tools for portfolio managers.
In this role, you'll collaborate closely with investment, research, and engineering teams to build cutting-edge, web-based trading and research platforms. Your work will directly support discretionary trading desks by delivering robust analytical tools for pre-trade decision-making and risk evaluation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deeply understand the investment process and help define the future UI strategy within that context.
- Partner with technology teams to evolve the investment toolkit platform using modern infrastructure and analytical frameworks.
- Communicate effectively across interdisciplinary teams including research, engineering, investing, and design.
- Become a subject matter expert in the firm's systems and technologies to accelerate the integration of analytics across workflows.
Requirements:
- Strong programming skills in TypeScript/React and at least one backend language, ideally Python.
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality UX/UI experiences.
- Passion for engaging with all aspects of fixed income and macro trading.
- Proficiency in Linux environments and cloud technologies.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
