FSA Reinsurance Pricing
A growing life and annuity insurance company is seeking a strategic and experienced actuarial leader to join their high-performing team. They're looking for a highly motivated Associate Director to lead pricing and profitability analysis for annuity reinsurance transactions. This role will focus on both flow and block deals, leveraging AXIS modeling and cross-functional collaboration to drive strategic pricing decisions. The ideal candidate is an FSA with deep technical expertise, strong business acumen, and a track record of success in dynamic environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead pricing and profitability analysis for annuity reinsurance transactions under U.S. and Bermuda frameworks.
- Build and maintain AXIS models to support pricing, sensitivity testing, and scenario analysis.
- Partner with investment and finance teams to align pricing strategies with asset and capital objectives.
- Support rate-setting processes, including new money rate analysis and ongoing profitability monitoring.
- Present pricing recommendations and insights to senior leadership and governance committees.
- Stay current on regulatory developments (e.g., C3, VM-22) and integrate them into pricing frameworks.
Qualifications:
- FSA designation required, with 7+ years of actuarial experience in life and annuity insurance.
- Strong hands-on experience with Moody's AXIS, including model development and enhancement.
- Solid understanding of investment strategies, asset-liability management, and spread dynamics.
- Experience with Bermuda regulatory frameworks and/or private equity-backed platforms is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex actuarial concepts.
- Proven ability to manage projects and lead cross-functional initiatives.
