FP&A Analyst
Title: Strategic Finance Analyst
Location: New York, NY (on-ste)
Compensation: $110,000 - $135,000 Base +Bonus
Summary
We are partnering with a multi-strategy hedge fund looking to add a Strategic Finance Analyst to its FP&A team. This individual will play a key role in driving financial strategy and business performance across the organization.
The position offers direct exposure to senior leadership and involvement in high-impact initiatives, including forecasting, budgeting, and financial modeling. The role also emphasizes leveraging advanced tools, including AI-driven analytics, to improve processes and deliver actionable insights.
This is a highly visible position that works cross-functionally with investment teams, operations, and external partners. It is well-suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is excited about contributing to the growth and scalability of a successful, mid-sized platform.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain financial models to analyze firm-wide performance and identify trends
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes
- Serve as a finance business partner across multiple business units and strategies
- Own and manage the firm's ongoing forecast process
- Prepare and present financial reporting to senior leadership
- Deliver data-driven insights to support strategic initiatives and new opportunities
- Support monthly and quarterly reporting in partnership with the Controller, for both internal and external stakeholders
- Leverage AI tools and advanced data modeling techniques to enhance reporting and decision-making
Qualifications
- 3-7 years of experience in FP&A, Strategic Finance, Investment Banking, or related finance roles
- Strong ability to communicate and present financial insights to senior stakeholders
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with Power BI and PowerPoint required
- Exposure to AI tools and data analytics platforms preferred
- Proven ability to operate in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment
