Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations related to ETF creation and redemption.
- Act as a proactive leader in establishing operational processes and serve as a liaison between Fund houses providing ETFs and their Trustees.
- Acquire cross-training in Delta 1 trading and Equity Finance to provide coverage when necessary.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and business performance.
- Define and implement a Target Operating Model (TOM), including the design and execution of procedures across trading platforms, along with contingency strategies.
- Optimise operational processes by identifying deficiencies and implementing improvements, such as creating a comprehensive manual to enforce controls.
- Address all client-related matters effectively.
- Collaborate closely with the technology team to enhance platform services and procedures, ensuring smooth integration between internal and external systems.
- Partner with Risk and Finance teams on operational controls and annual fund audits.
- Participate in special projects, including investor due diligence and on boarding counterparties.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in Middle Office/Operations roles within traditional finance, with substantial exposure to ETF creation and redemption operations.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Delta One products, including ETFs, Equity Swaps, Futures, and Forwards. Experience on an Equity Finance Trading Desk is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of trade life-cycle processes, including trade capture, Corporate Actions, Settlements, and Reconciliations.
- Client service experience is preferred, ideally in a Prime Brokerage setting.
- Proven success in building and managing Middle Office/Operations teams across multiple locations in a corporate environment.
- Familiarity with operating in a licensed and regulated financial services environment, with a background in regulatory interactions.
- Exceptional organisational and leadership skills, with a motivated and positive approach to challenges and multitasking.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access; knowledge of VBA is a plus.
- Fluency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin is required.
