E&S High Net Worth Underwriter

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced E&S High Net Worth Underwriter to join our Chicago-based team. This role is responsible for underwriting both new and renewal business within the High Net Worth segment, focusing on complex personal lines risks that require creative and customized solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong relationships with retail agents, a deep understanding of the E&S market, and a passion for delivering exceptional service to affluent clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Underwrite and price new and renewal High Net Worth personal lines accounts, including homeowners, valuable articles, auto, and umbrella policies.
• Evaluate risk characteristics and coverage needs to develop tailored insurance solutions.
• Maintain and grow relationships with retail agents, serving as a trusted advisor and underwriting resource.
• Collaborate with internal teams including actuarial, claims, and risk management to ensure profitable growth.
• Stay current on market trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory changes impacting the E&S High Net Worth space.
• Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines, authority levels, and company policies.
• Contribute to product development and enhancement initiatives to meet evolving client and broker needs.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of underwriting experience in High Net Worth personal lines, preferably within the E&S market.
• Proven track record of managing both new and renewal business.
• Strong relationships with retail agents and brokers in the High Net Worth space.
• Deep knowledge of personal lines products, coverage forms, and risk evaluation techniques.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; CPCU, AU, or other industry designations preferred.
