EM Corporate Credit Analyst (HY/Distressed)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned EM Corporate Credit Analyst with extensive experience in Latam coverage to join our dynamic team at a leading $20bn multi-strategy hedge fund based in New York. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of high yield (HY) and distressed names within the region and demonstrate a proven ability to generate tactical investment ideas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough credit analysis of corporate entities within the Latam region, focusing on high yield and distressed names.
- Develop and present investment ideas and strategies to senior management and portfolio managers.
- Monitor and evaluate market trends, economic indicators, and geopolitical events impacting the Latam credit markets.
- Perform detailed financial modeling, risk assessment, and valuation analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support investment decision-making processes.
- Maintain and update credit databases and tracking systems.
- Prepare comprehensive research reports and presentations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA, CFA) preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in EM corporate credit analysis, with a strong focus on Latam markets.
- Proven track record of idea generation and tactical investment strategies in high yield and distressed credit.
- Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and presentation abilities.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is highly desirable.
