Role Summary
The company is seeking a seasoned and strategic leader to oversee its Commercial Lines operations. The Director of Commercial Lines will be responsible for guiding departmental strategy, optimizing underwriting practices, and strengthening relationships with agency partners. This role is pivotal in ensuring the company's commercial insurance offerings remain competitive, profitable, and aligned with market needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Commercial Lines team, working closely with managers and cross-functional partners in Product and Underwriting.
- Identify opportunities to enhance underwriting systems and streamline operational workflows.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with agents, supporting them in growing and managing profitable books of business.
- Ensure the company's commercial insurance products are both market-relevant and financially sound.
- Champion employee development through training, mentorship, and strategic hiring.
- Serve as a key liaison between the Commercial Lines department and other internal teams, external vendors, and industry stakeholders.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Education: Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Experience: 8-15 years in commercial insurance
