Selby Jennings is partnering with with a leading insurance and financial services organization is seeking a Director of Corporate Development to help shape and execute its inorganic growth strategy. This is a highly visible, individual contributor role offering direct exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to influence acquisitions, partnerships, and strategic initiatives across a growing platform.

This position is ideal for a corporate development professional or insurance-focused investment banker looking to move into a more strategic role with greater ownership, visibility, and impact.

What You'll Do

  • Evaluate and execute acquisitions, strategic partnerships, and other growth initiatives
  • Assess a high volume of potential opportunities and determine strategic fit
  • Lead transaction execution from evaluation through closing
  • Partner closely with business unit leaders to identify growth opportunities
  • Build relationships across the organization and serve as a trusted strategic advisor
  • Develop financial models, valuation analyses, and investment recommendations
  • Present strategic opportunities and insights to senior executives
  • Help shape and build an evolving corporate development function

What We're Looking For

  • Corporate Development, M&A, or transaction execution experience
  • Strong knowledge of the insurance industry
  • Understanding of insurance capital, reinsurance, or related financial structures
  • Experience evaluating acquisitions, partnerships, and strategic investments
  • Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical capabilities
  • Ability to work independently in a hands-on environment
  • Collaborative, relationship-oriented approach

Location & Travel

While remote candidates will be considered, candidates should be comfortable traveling regularly to company headquarters in Omaha for relationship-building, strategic planning, and transaction-related initiatives.
