Derivatives Market Risk/Trading Risk Manager - Digital Assets
A major Digital Assets platform is seeking a Derivatives Risk Manager for their Trading business in NYC. The company is focused on providing spot, derivative, and financing liquidity to clients and counterparties that transact in crypto and other digital assets. Their platform bridges the gap between traditional finance and the fast-growing digital economy through their products and services.
The company provides access to traded cryptocurrencies for institutional clients and counterparties across: OTC Options and Trading, also engaging in proprietary quantitative, arbitrage, and macro trading strategies.
The Role:
This senior position will provide direct collaboration with Portfolio Managers and Traders, working primarily on:
- Portfolio Construction
- Investment and Risk Analysis
This is not a run-of-the-mill 2nd line market risk role; the firm is establishing their risk team as an immense value add to the business - your work will directly impact a drive profit for the firm.
Responsibilities:
- Work with Traders and PMs on portfolio construction, investment, and risk analysis
- Work with the CRO to further establish risk framework for the trading business working in a lean team
- Develop and maintain risk analytics systems
- Enable data-driven decision making for the trading arm
Qualifications:
- 6-12+ years of experience in Market Risk covering any traded derivative - Sell Side or Buy Side experience welcomed
- This experience can be in traditional finance, not just crypto - the team is comprised primarily of personnel with Trad Fi experience
- Strong communication (you will work with traders/PMs daily)
- Ability to work 5x/week in office in NYC
