About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented A-Z Plan Administrator to manage and oversee all aspects of our retirement and benefits plans from start to finish. This role requires a strong understanding of compliance, plan operations, and participant support. You will serve as the primary point of contact for plan administration, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Plan Setup & Maintenance:
- Administer all aspects of retirement plans (401(k), pension, profit-sharing) from implementation through ongoing maintenance.
- Ensure accurate plan documentation and compliance with ERISA, IRS, and DOL regulations.
Participant Support:
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding plan features, eligibility, contributions, and distributions.
- Provide guidance on enrollment, loans, and withdrawals.
Compliance & Reporting:
- Prepare and file annual compliance reports (Form 5500, nondiscrimination testing, etc.).
- Monitor plan operations for regulatory compliance and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination:
- Liaise with recordkeepers, investment managers, auditors, and third-party administrators.
- Coordinate with HR and payroll teams to ensure accurate data flow.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to streamline plan administration processes.
- Implement best practices for efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, HR, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in retirement plan administration (401(k), pension, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of ERISA, IRS, and DOL regulations.
- Proficiency with plan recordkeeping systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Preferred Certifications
- ASPPA, or similar professional designation.
