Role Overview:

This position is part of the Global Compliance Practices Team, focusing on regulatory coverage for both regulated and non-regulated products and services. The role involves:

  • Supporting compliance with current and emerging regulations.
  • Engaging with regulators and internal stakeholders.
  • Leading strategic initiatives related to Regulatory Obligation Mapping across multiple regions and business lines.
  • Collaborating with Legal, Risk, Business, and Technology teams to deliver a robust Compliance Risk Management Program.
  • Identifying and escalating top and emerging risks to senior and compliance leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute end-to-end Regulatory Obligation Mapping for Multilateral Trading Facility and Financial Crime/AML domains, including:
    • Scoping legal and regulatory obligation and Industry Standards across relevant jurisdiction and linking them to internal controls, risks and documentation.
    • Ensuring traceability and auditability of the mapping and maintaining high documentation standards.
    • Monitoring regulatory change and business development to keep obligation mapping current through a structured trigger event management process.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with Legal, Compliance Risk, and Business Line Control Management to produce accurate, high-quality regulatory maps.
  • Lead and contribute to governance routines, ensuring consistent stakeholder engagement and timely issue escalation.
  • Produce and present meaningful management information (MI) to Compliance leadership, risk committees, auditors, and regulators.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on regulatory obligations, emerging compliance risk and control adequacy - especially in investment banking and prudential regulations, and anti-money laundering domains.
  • Support the enterprise risk management framework in partnership with the Chief Risk Office and Risk & Compliance Shared Services (RCSS)
  • Challenge and guide first line of defence teams on control design and risk mitigation in a way that promotes accountability and proactive risk management.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Compliance, Legal, Risk, Internal Audit, or related functions.
  • Proven experience in regulatory mapping, ideally within financial services or Big Four consulting firms.
  • Strong knowledge of global operational resilience regulations and industry standards (e.g., DORA, FCA, NIST, COBIT).
  • Experience with compliance or risk frameworks.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex regulatory content.
  • Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional initiatives and stakeholder management.
  • High accountability and ability to deliver under pressure.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to drive organisational change.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting regulatory change or mapping programs within financial institutions.
  • Familiarity with operational risk domains listed above.
  • Passion for scalable and sustainable compliance programs.
