Client/Job Summary:
An international manufacturer is seeking a Cost Accounting Manager to lead cost analysis and inventory and manufacturing processes. This role involves overseeing cost structures, analyzing variances, supporting month-end close, and partnering with operations to ensure accuracy and efficiency. This position offers the chance to work on strategic projects, partner with operations, and drive efficiency across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee cost accounting and ensure accuracy in production-related financial data.
- Review and analyze differences between planned and actual costs, providing insights to leadership.
- Support monthly reporting and assist with audits for inventory and assets.
- Maintain processes for inventory checks and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Partner with operations to align financial practices with production goals.
- Prepare summaries and dashboards to highlight trends and performance metrics.
- Ensure compliance with internal guidelines and industry standards.
- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting by providing cost-related input.
- Lead and guide team members to maintain efficiency and accuracy.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration.
- 7-15 YOE in cost accounting and inventory management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with ERP systems and month-end close processes.
