Key Responsibilities
Loan Servicing & Portfolio Operations
- Oversee the day‑to‑day servicing of an assigned portfolio of commercial real estate loans, acting as a primary point of contact for borrowers, internal stakeholders, third‑party servicers, and vendors
- Administer monthly loan servicing activities including payment processing, reserve funding and disbursements, paydowns, payoffs, and cash management waterfalls
- Coordinate with third‑party servicers and custodians to ensure accurate servicing execution and timely issue resolution
- Maintain custody and organization of original loan documentation and servicing records
- Monitor borrower and guarantor reporting requirements and track compliance with loan agreements
Cash Management & Controls
- Ensure all cash movements, disbursements, and fundings are executed in accordance with loan documents and internal policies
- Assist with the setup, maintenance, and closure of loan‑related bank accounts, including deposit accounts and cash management accounts
- Coordinate payment of pass‑through expenses and vendor invoices tied to the loan portfolio
- Ensure loan servicing systems and internal records are accurate, timely, and complete
Financing Facilities & Leverage
- Support the onboarding and ongoing administration of repurchase facilities, warehouse lines, or other financing structures
- Coordinate reporting, funding activity, reimbursements, and paydowns with financing counterparties and internal teams
Loan Closings & Onboarding
- Assist with post‑closing onboarding of new originations into servicing systems
- Support closing‑related activities including tracking deposits, coordinating diligence items, reviewing insurance and legal documentation, and establishing required bank accounts
- Partner with internal teams to ensure a smooth transition from closing into ongoing servicing
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in commercial real estate loan servicing, loan operations, or lender‑side credit servicing (flexible for highly relevant backgrounds)
- Direct experience servicing commercial real estate loans (bridge, construction, balance‑sheet, or private credit preferred)
- Strong understanding of loan administration, cash management, reserves, and servicing controls
- Experience working directly with borrowers and third‑party service providers
- Familiarity with loan servicing systems and operational workflows
- Ability to operate in a fast‑paced, execution‑oriented environment with strong attention to detail
