Position Overview:
The firm is looking to bring on an experienced Investment Analyst with a strong background in biotech or pharmaceutical research and investing. The successful candidate will play a key role in sourcing, analyzing, and monitoring investment opportunities across the healthcare ecosystem. This individual will conduct detailed scientific and financial evaluations to support both long and short investment theses.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct deep scientific, clinical, and competitive landscape analyses within biotech and pharma subsectors.
* Develop, maintain, and refine detailed financial models to support long and short investment recommendations.
* Assess pipeline assets, trial designs, regulatory pathways, and commercial opportunities across therapeutic areas.
* Monitor industry developments, scientific publications, market dynamics, and regulatory events that may impact portfolio positions.
* Prepare comprehensive investment memos, reports, and presentations for the portfolio management team.
* Collaborate closely with portfolio managers and senior analysts to refine investment frameworks and risk assessments.
Qualifications:
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in biotech or pharmaceutical investing, including experience investing in a long/short or long‑only equity strategy.
* PhD or MD strongly preferred; candidates with advanced scientific training will be prioritized.
* Strong analytical and valuation skills, including experience with financial modeling and risk assessment.
* Deep understanding of drug development, clinical data interpretation, and regulatory considerations.
