About the Opportunity:
We're working with a well-established crypto exchange platform operating across the Asia, EU and the US. As the regulatory landscape for digital assets continues to evolve, our client is seeking an Authorized Manager with expertise in Risk and to lead their regulatory matters for Europe and ensure the business remains ahead of regulatory expectations.
This is a pivotal leadership role for a seasoned compliance professional who thrives in dynamic environments and understands the nuances of crypto and payment regulation across multiple jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as CSSF‑approved Authorized Manager for risk and compliance.
- Lead regulatory engagement and oversee licensing/MiCA authorization and EU passporting.
- Own AML/CTF, sanctions, KYC/KYB, and financial crime frameworks; act as MLRO/Deputy MLRO.
- Build and maintain the enterprise risk framework (risk assessments, appetite, controls, monitoring).
- Oversee compliance monitoring, regulatory reporting, audits, and governance committees.
- Support product expansion across Europe with risk and compliance assessments.
- Lead and develop the risk & compliance teams.
Candidate Profile:
- Eligible for CSSF approval.
- 10+ years in risk/compliance in payments, fintech, or crypto.
- Strong knowledge of MiCA, AMLD/AMLR, GDPR, and Luxembourg regulatory expectations.
- Proven experience with AML/CTF programs, enterprise risk, and regulatory interaction.
- Excellent communication and hands-on leadership skills.
