A leading global investment manager specializing in quantitative and systematic strategies is looking for Application Support Engineers to join its 3rd Party Applications (3PA) team. This firm leverages technology and data to drive its scientific investment approach across all liquid asset classes.
Position Highlights:
- Advanced Technology Use: Engage with cutting-edge tools and frameworks.
- Third-Party Application Management: Support applications like Refinitiv, Grafana, ChatGPT, and Tableau in various environments (on-premises, AWS, SaaS).
- Application Integration: Work with business and tech teams to integrate new applications and enhance existing ones.
- Platform Engineering: Ensure high availability and performance through proactive platform design and monitoring.
- Incident Resolution: Quickly restore services, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with traders, researchers, and developers to maintain and optimize custom platforms.
- Automation & Efficiency: Enhance system reliability and efficiency through process automation.
- Scalable Solutions: Develop scalable, resilient application systems and processes.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in Application Support, DevOps, or related fields.
- Troubleshooting Skills: Strong background in application support and problem resolution.
- Cloud Expertise: Proficient in AWS provisioning with Terraform/Ansible.
- Monitoring & Scripting: Experience with tools like Grafana, Splunk, and scripting languages (Python/Bash/PowerShell).
- System Knowledge: Hands-on experience with Linux and Windows.
- Preferred Skills: Familiarity with Refinitiv TREP and DevOps tools (GitHub, Slack, OpsGenie).
