The Role
Our client is seeking an Employee Benefits Account Manager to serve as a key partner to Account Executives and Producers, helping deliver a best-in-class client experience. This individual will take ownership of a portfolio of mid to large group clients, acting as the primary point of contact for day-to-day service needs while helping guide clients through strategic benefits decisions. This role offers strong visibility, the opportunity to build meaningful client relationships, and the ability to contribute to both retention and growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day service for employee benefits accounts, ensuring timely and accurate responses to client needs
  • Lead and coordinate the renewal process from start to finish, including gathering data, preparing materials, and presenting options
  • Collaborate closely with carriers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to deliver seamless service and optimal outcomes
  • Support claims analysis, reporting, and ongoing plan performance review for clients
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen and expand client relationships through additional solutions or strategic guidance

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Employee Benefits on the broker side, with a strong account management and client service background
  • Active Life & Health license
  • Experience managing mid to large group clients and navigating complex benefit programs
  • Working knowledge of funding strategies, including level funded and self-funded plans
  • Ability to support claims analysis, reporting, and renewal strategy discussions
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, client-first mindset
