Overview
We are a growing, collaborative actuarial consulting firm seeking an Actuarial Analyst to support a variety of client engagements. This role offers hands-on exposure to real client work across multiple projects, providing the opportunity to build technical skills, develop business acumen, and contribute directly to client outcomes in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform actuarial and quantitative analyses including pricing, reserving, forecasting, and trend analysis
- Develop, maintain, and enhance models using tools such as Excel, SQL, R, or Python
- Work with large and complex datasets to identify insights, risks, and opportunities
- Support client deliverables by preparing reports, presentations, and summaries of findings
- Collaborate closely with consultants and senior team members on project execution
- Participate in client meetings, gaining exposure to communication of technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Assist with ad hoc analyses and special projects as client needs evolve
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field
- Progress toward actuarial credentials (SOA or CAS exams preferred)
- 1-4 years of actuarial or analytical experience (internship experience considered)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in Excel; experience with SQL, Python, R, or other programming tools is a plus
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic consulting environment
