Vice President, Product Management - Governance & Voting Solutions
An industry-leading financial technology organization is seeking a senior product executive to lead the strategy, development, and commercialization of a suite of governance and voting-related solutions serving institutional investors, asset managers, and corporate clients.
This individual will own product direction and investment priorities while serving as a key voice of the customer across the organization. The successful candidate will combine deep domain expertise in shareholder governance, investment stewardship, and voting workflows with a proven ability to deliver innovative technology solutions that solve complex client challenges.
Working closely with senior leadership, technology, client-facing teams, and external stakeholders, this role will be responsible for defining long-term product strategy, driving execution, and ensuring the platform continues to evolve in line with market demands and regulatory developments.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute product strategy across a portfolio of governance, stewardship, and voting solutions.
- Establish product priorities and roadmap initiatives based on client needs, competitive dynamics, industry trends, and commercial opportunity.
- Lead products through the full lifecycle, from concept development and business case creation through implementation, launch, and ongoing enhancement.
- Partner closely with engineering and delivery teams to translate strategic objectives into actionable requirements and development priorities.
- Gather market intelligence through direct client engagement, industry research, user feedback, and emerging regulatory developments.
- Act as an internal subject matter expert for product capabilities, functionality, and future enhancements.
- Drive alignment across sales, client success, operations, technology, legal, compliance, and marketing teams.
- Develop business cases and value propositions that support product growth and market adoption.
- Oversee release planning, feature rollouts, and internal enablement efforts to ensure successful product launches.
- Support client meetings, strategic discussions, and industry events as a senior representative of the product organization.
- Manage and mentor product professionals while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure solutions remain aligned with relevant regulatory frameworks, governance standards, and evolving market expectations.
Desired Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Technology, or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of product management experience within financial services, fintech, market infrastructure, investment technology, or related sectors.
- Strong understanding of investment stewardship, proxy voting, shareholder governance, corporate actions, or institutional investor workflows.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex products in highly regulated environments.
- Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and drive cross-functional initiatives in a matrixed organization.
- Strong commercial mindset with experience balancing client needs, business objectives, and technical constraints.
- Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills, including experience conducting market assessments and competitive analysis.
- Exceptional communication and presentation abilities, with a track record of engaging senior executives and external clients.
- Familiarity with Agile product development methodologies and modern software delivery practices.
- Proven history of launching new capabilities, improving product performance, and delivering measurable business impact.
