Senior Investor Relations - Fundraiser
A growing alternative investment platform is looking to appoint a Senior Investor Relations - Fundraising professional as part of its early-stage expansion into the UK market, with a core focus on Private Equity strategies.
The London presence remains highly lean, and this hire will represent one of the first senior Investor Relations professionals on the ground, playing a critical role in shaping the firm's UK investor franchise.
This is a unique opportunity to join at a formative stage, combining fundraising execution, investor coverage, and market build-out, with direct exposure to senior leadership and significant influence on the firm's long-term growth strategy in the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and drive fundraising efforts in the UK, supporting current and future Private Equity strategies
- Play a central role in establishing and expanding the firm's UK investor network from an early stage
- Originate and develop relationships with institutional investors, including pension funds, asset managers, family offices, and insurance companies
- Act as a key ambassador of the platform in the UK market, representing the firm externally
- Manage and grow relationships with existing investors, ensuring high-quality coverage and engagement
- Work closely with senior stakeholders to define and execute the UK fundraising and investor coverage strategy
- Support all aspects of the fundraising lifecycle, including roadshows, investor meetings, due diligence, and fund closings
- Contribute to the development of marketing materials, investor communications, and positioning strategy
- Provide direct feedback from the market to inform product development and strategic decision-making
Candidate Profile
- 10-15 years of experience in Investor Relations, Fundraising, or Capital Raising, within Private Equity or alternative asset management
- Proven and demonstrable track record of raising capital and contributing to successful fund closes
- Well-established and active network of UK-based institutional investors, with the ability to generate opportunities from existing relationships
- Strong understanding of Private Equity strategies, structures, and investor expectations
- Experience operating in a lean or entrepreneurial environment, with the ability to build coverage from the ground up
- Highly commercial mindset, with a clear ability to drive revenue and investor engagement
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with credibility at senior level
- Ability to work autonomously while remaining aligned with international teams and leadership
- Fluency in English required; additional European languages are advantageous
