Our client, a leading global hedge fund, is seeking a Senior AI & Python Engineer to join a specialist centralised ML engineering team responsible for designing and delivering advanced AI capabilities across the business. This team builds end‑to‑end intelligent systems, collaborates closely with quantitative and technical stakeholders, and develops tools that improve decision‑making and operational efficiency at scale.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain core infrastructure that enables large‑scale AI and ML applications.
- Work directly with research, trading, technology, and operational teams to deliver custom AI solutions and intelligent automation tools.
- Explore emerging approaches in applied AI and identify opportunities to implement impactful technology across the organisation.
- Build production‑ready services and applications that are reliable, scalable, and integrated into business workflows.
- Act as an internal advocate for AI platforms, supporting adoption and best‑practice use across teams.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of professional experience in a hedge fund, trading firm, commodities firm or investment bank.
- Strong academic background in a technical, quantitative, or computational discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics).
- Advanced Python engineering experience, including developing robust production systems.
- Background working within structured software engineering environments and following established development standards.
- Demonstrated hands‑on exposure to modern AI and ML workflows.
