Senior Accountant

About the Role
In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. You'll prepare, review, and analyze a variety of financial reports and general ledger activity, ensuring compliance, clarity, and alignment with organizational goals. Your work will support strategic decision‑making across the organization.
What You'll Be Doing
- Preparing and analyzing corporate and departmental financial reports, general ledgers, and monthly variance explanations
- Performing revenue and expense variance analysis compared to budget and prior year
- Completing account reconciliations and supporting consolidated financials, fund reporting, and intercompany eliminations
- Assisting with the annual budget process and year‑end audit
- Preparing schedules for regulatory agencies and supporting special projects or analyses as needed
- Managing the Foundation's accounts payable process
- Collaborating with cross‑functional teams and providing financial support where needed
- Applying a sound understanding of non‑profit and healthcare finance
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
- At least three years of experience, preferably within healthcare or fund accounting
Preferred Skills
- Strong reconciliation, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities
- Advanced proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint; PeopleSoft experience preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, work independently, and meet deadlines
- Strong initiative and collaborative team mindset
- Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial review processes
