Mortgage Quantitative Analyst
A leading investment bank is looking for a Quantitative Analyst at the VP level to join a quantitative team focused on mortgage markets and quantitative research. This is an opportunity to work closely with trading and investment professionals.
This is an opportunity to work closely with trading and investment professionals, developing sophisticated models and analytics used to support valuation, risk management, and investment decision-making across fixed income and structured products markets. As a senior member of the team, you'll have the opportunity to help shape the group's technical direction, mentor junior quants, and contribute to the continued evolution of its quantitative research and analytics infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and enhance quantitative models, analytical frameworks, and decision-support tools used across the investment process
- Apply advanced statistical, machine learning, and data-driven techniques to extract insights from large and complex datasets
- Build scalable analytics, automation, and data solutions using Python, C++, and SQL
- Conduct quantitative research to identify trends, opportunities, and risk factors across financial markets
- Lead technical initiatives and mentor junior quantitative professionals
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience developing quantitative models and analytical frameworks within fixed income, structured products, or related financial markets
- Masters or PhD degree in a quantitative discipline
- Proficient in Python and C++
- Experience supporting trading desks
