About the Opportunity
A rapidly growing private equity-backed professional services organization is seeking a Director of Operations to help scale the business and drive operational excellence across the company. The organization has experienced strong growth through both organic expansion and strategic acquisitions and is continuing to invest heavily in its people, processes, and infrastructure.
This is a highly visible leadership role that will work closely with executive leadership to optimize operations, improve performance, and build scalable systems that support continued growth.
The Role
The Director of Operations will be responsible for leading day-to-day operational functions while identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, profitability, and client service delivery. The successful candidate will be comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and have a proven track record of driving process improvements and leading cross-functional initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead operational strategy and execution across the business
- Develop and implement scalable processes, policies, and workflows
- Establish and track KPIs to measure operational performance and accountability
- Partner with executive leadership on strategic growth initiatives
- Drive process improvement efforts to increase efficiency and profitability
- Collaborate with leaders across finance, sales, HR, and service delivery teams
- Improve resource planning, capacity management, and workforce utilization
- Lead operational integration efforts related to acquisitions and company growth initiatives
- Identify and implement technology solutions that enhance operational effectiveness
- Build, mentor, and develop high-performing teams
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred
- 8+ years of progressive operations leadership experience
- Experience within professional services, consulting, business services, or technology-enabled services environments
- Experience working within a private equity-backed organization strongly preferred
- Demonstrated success leading operational transformation and scaling initiatives
- Strong financial and business acumen
- Experience creating and managing KPIs, dashboards, and reporting metrics
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
- Highly analytical with a hands-on approach to problem solving
