Control Manager
We are partnered with a global financial services organization to support the growth of its risk and controls function and are seeking a Controls Manager to join the team. This role sits within a core business area supporting operational activities and offers exposure across Operations, Risk, and Technology.
The position focuses on reviewing business workflows, strengthening control practices, and working closely with internal stakeholders to promote risk awareness, consistency, and operational resilience across a regulated environment.
Responsibilities:
- Review operational processes to assess risk exposure and identify opportunities to strengthen controls
- Support the development and maintenance of control approaches that align to business objectives
- Analyze control‑related data and reporting to highlight trends, issues, and improvement areas
- Partner with Operations, Technology, Audit, and Compliance teams to
- Contribute to governance routines, management reporting, and change initiatives
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in controls, operational risk, internal audit, or a related function within financial services
- Experience in securities operations, asset servicing, custody operations or similar environments
- Comfort working with data, metrics, and reporting;
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across diverse stakeholder groups
- Organized, analytical, and adaptable, with solid problem‑solving and project coordination skills
