Valuation Anaylst - Fixed Income
A large Tier 1 asset management firm is looking to hire an analyst level candidate to their internal valuations & analytics team focusing on fixed income, structured credit and MBS.
This individual will work closely with the portfolio management and deal team to conduct the end-to-end valuation process for fixed income and structure credit investing. This hire will work with various stakeholders on the valuation of illiquid assets and liquid assets for the firm's credit portfolio.
The ideal candidate will have 1 - 2+ years of experience at an asset management firm, consulting firm, or pricing function with experience working on the valuation process for various fixed income and structured products.
Responsibilities:
- Own the day-to-day valuation process for a range of investment products with a particular focus on structured credit and MBS
- Work with the front office and risk to develop and maintain various valuation inputs used in stress testing
- Develop and enhance the firm's in-house framework for pricing and valuations
- Build and maintain fair value pricing models for fixed income investments
- Provide ad-hoc portfolio analysis and reporting in conjunction with the front office and risk management
Qualifications:
- 1-2+ years of experience in valuations at an asset management firm, consulting firm, or pricing function
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with the front office and other stakeholders
- Prior experience or strong knowledge in various fixed income products like CDS, MBS, Corporate Bonds, and other forms of credit
- Working ability in Python and SQL
