Territory Sales Account Executive

We're seeking a driven and relationship‑focused Territory Account Executive to represent our client and their Business Development team. In this client‑facing role, you will serve as a key connection point between brokers and underwriting partners, helping to drive new business, expand opportunities within existing accounts, and secure successful renewals across your assigned territory.

You will collaborate with internal teams to build and execute strategic territory plans, deepen broker engagement, and enhance visibility in the market. Success in this role requires strong independence, comfort with frequent travel, and effective use of sales technology to support growth and retention goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary liaison between brokers and underwriting teams, advocating for both to drive new business, cross‑sell opportunities, and renewals.
  • Build and strengthen broker relationships to enhance presence and competitiveness in the region.
  • Develop and execute complex territory strategies in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Leverage sales tools and technology to manage pipelines, track results, and support business objectives.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, meetings, and events.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in risk management, business, finance, economics, accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of commercial insurance or related industry experience.
  • Experience with Workers' Compensation and casualty insurance products.
  • Insurance sales experience or strong sales aptitude.
  • Strong knowledge of the broker network within an assigned territory.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship‑building skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability and willingness to travel approximately 50% or more.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and CRM/sales platforms (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Hybrid schedule requiring at least 3 days per week in the Burbank / Los Angeles office.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven success managing and expanding a defined sales territory.
  • Experience partnering closely with underwriting and service teams.
  • Prior experience representing an insurance carrier at industry events or conferences.
