Taiwan Equity Specialist
Selby Jennings has partnered with a dynamic and high-conviction hedge fund based in Hong Kong is seeking an experienced Investment Analyst to join its growing team. This firm is known for its China-thematic investment approach, complemented by a global macro overlay, and is backed by a strong track record of performance and thought leadership in the Greater China space.
This role will focus on the Taiwan Equities space as a specialist, and will be responsible for generating alpha through deep fundamental research, idea generation, and active portfolio contribution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct bottom-up fundamental research on Taiwanese listed companies
- Generate actionable investment ideas within a long/short framework
- Monitor industry trends, macro developments, and company-specific catalysts
- Present and discuss investment ideas to the CIO and investment team
- Collaborate with peers to optimize portfolio construction and risk management
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in equity research or investment analysis
- Buyside experience is essential, preferably with exposure to a fundamental long/short strategy
- Relevant coverage and strong expertise in Taiwanese equities
- Fluency in Mandarin or Taiwanese preferred
