Structured Finance / Securitisation Lead

Company Overview
A leading Pan‑European real estate investment firm is seeking to appoint a senior professional to lead a large, high‑profile securitisation initiative. Founded in the early 2000s, the firm has co‑invested in and managed more than £6bn of transactions across Europe.

The business has recently been approached by a major asset owner with a portfolio of social‑care housing, fully underpinned by UK government‑sourced income. Given the long‑term, secure nature of these cashflows, the firm is now preparing to securitise the portfolio and issue asset‑backed bonds to institutional investors.

Role Responsibilities
In this newly created role, you will take the lead in designing and executing the securitisation strategy for a multi‑billion‑pound portfolio:

  • Structure and execute asset‑backed securitisations backed by long‑dated government‑linked rental income.
  • Build, refine, and manage detailed long‑term cashflow and financial models.
  • Drive the full credit ratings process for the securitised vehicle(s).
  • Prepare materials, analysis, and scenarios for rating agencies.
  • Own and manage ongoing relationships with the major rating agencies, ensuring transparency, strong dialogue, and alignment throughout the transaction lifecycle.
  • Work on future securitisation or structured credit opportunities as the platform continues to scale.

Ideal Candidate

  • Strong experience in securitisation, structured credit, structured finance, or debt capital markets.
  • Proven track record working on transactions involving long‑term cashflow modelling and complex capital structures.
  • Comfortable leading credit ratings processes and managing external stakeholders.
  • Strong financial modelling abilities, with the capacity to build, interpret and manage long‑term and multi‑scenario cashflow models.
  • Experience working with institutional investors in the context of bond issuance or private structured credit.
  • A background in real estate finance, social infrastructure, affordable housing, or public‑sector‑linked income streams is advantageous but not essential.
