Senior Reinsurance Accounting Manager

As a Reinsurance Accounting Manager, you'll play a key role in managing the financial integrity of our reinsurance operations while working in a fully remote, collaborative environment.
What you will be doing:
- Manage all aspects of reinsurance accounting, including ceded premiums, loss recoverables, and treaty reconciliations
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual reinsurance financial statements and schedules
- Coordinate with internal teams and external reinsurers to ensure timely settlements and accurate reporting
- Support audit processes and regulatory filings related to reinsurance
- Analyze treaty terms and structures to ensure proper financial treatment and compliance
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in reinsurance accounting
What you will need to be successful:
- 5+ years of experience in insurance or reinsurance accounting
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, statutory accounting principles, and reinsurance structures (e.g., quota share, excess of loss)
- Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with accounting or ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, or insurance-specific platforms)
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- CPA, CPCU, or ARe designation is a plus
