Senior Financial Controller
Selby Jennings is currently partnered with a top-end, publicly traded construction company. They operate in various markets across infrastructure, commercial and residential, new build, repair and refurbishment. This firm had close to $12b in revenue in 2024, and has been one of the top firms nationally within the space - Having over 1000 sites in the U.S. and serving hundreds of clients across the U.S. and internationally.
Due to organizational growth, they are expanding and looking to bring on a Senior Financial Controller. Responsibilities include managing the accounting and financial reporting function, working closely with the Finance Manager, Plant Controller, and other members of the Finance team. This role will provide direct visibility to leadership, and an immediate pathway for advancement within various verticals of the business.
Responsibilities Include:
- Process Improvement/Implementation/Business Process Improvements
- Month-End Closes
- Ledger Management
- Technical Accounting Support
- Internal Controls (SOX, JSOX)
- Audit
- Leading a team and working with the wider leadership team on strategic initiatives
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or MBA in Finance or Accounting
- CPA / CMA or progress towards attainment
- Experience with ERP system implementation (SAP, MS Dynamics, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP & IFRS
- 8-12 years of progressive experience, team leadership experience preferred
- Strong Excel proficiency
