Product Analyst 1

A regional property and casualty insurance group is hiring a Product Analyst to support analysis of personal lines insurance products. This role leverages data and business intelligence to generate insights that support product performance, profitability, and growth in a collaborative, cross‑functional environment.

This is a hybrid position with three in-office days per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Query and analyze large datasets using SQL to support product and performance insights
  • Build and maintain regular business‑intelligence reports and perform ad‑hoc analyses
  • Optimize data retrieval and reporting processes using dashboards, Excel, and automation tools
  • Analyze personal lines products, coverage, and competitive positioning
  • Translate complex analyses into clear summaries and actionable recommendations
  • Support product changes related to rates, coverage, and product development
  • Collaborate with actuarial, underwriting, claims, marketing, accounting, and data analytics teams
  • Maintain high standards of data accuracy, quality, and documentation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, finance, actuarial science, or a related field preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience in data analysis, business analysis, or a similar role
  • Proficiency in SQL and relational databases
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with Power BI or Tableau
  • Familiarity with Python or automation tools is a plus
  • Strong communication, organization, and time‑management skills
  • Interest in insurance products and data‑driven problem solving

Compensation

Salary Range: $80,000 - $85,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
