Pricing Actuary - Large Commercial
Selby Jennings have partnered with a global commercial and specialty insurer, currently seeking a Pricing Actuary to join a newly formed team within their European Commercial and Specialty business.
This is a high-impact opportunity for a qualified actuary to support pricing initiatives across a diverse portfolio including Liability, Property, Motor, Engineering, Marine, and Cyber. The successful candidate will work closely with underwriters across UK and European large-commercial lines, contributing to the development and enhancement of pricing tools, case pricing, and portfolio analysis.
You'll ensure pricing models are used effectively, provide technical input into large account pricing, and support the development of performance monitoring frameworks. You'll collaborate with underwriting, finance, and actuarial teams to align pricing strategies with broader business objectives, and contribute to strategic projects including reserving and actuarial systems.
This role offers strong exposure to senior stakeholders across European branches and the opportunity to influence pricing strategy and technical development.
Role Requirements:
- Nearly / Newly Qualified Actuary
- Minimum four years' experience in Commercial or Specialty Lines Pricing
- Strong technical proficiency in Python (hx beneficial), Excel, VBA, and data tools such as SQL and PowerBI
- Proven ability to communicate complex actuarial concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Experience with pricing tools, large account pricing, and portfolio analysis
- Strong analytical and stakeholder engagement skills
