Payment Expert
A leading European private bank is currently seeking a Payment Expert to join their growing team. The successful candidate will act as a key point of contact for complex operational issues and support management in driving efficiency and compliance.
Main Responsibilities
- Handle and monitor banking transactions such as payments, incoming funds, internal transfers, cheque processing, and card operations, ensuring accurate posting and reconciliation.
- Perform initial Anti-Money Laundering (AML) checks on all incoming and outgoing transactions.
- Contribute to service improvement initiatives, risk reduction strategies, and the development of operational procedures.
- Assist in interpreting and applying new regulatory requirements relevant to transaction processing (e.g., Instant Payments, CESOP, ISO 20022 CBPR+, FIDA, PSD3).
- Maintain documentation and conduct regular operational reviews and controls.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in banking operations or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of payment systems and transaction flows (SEPA, SWIFT, SIC, etc.).
- Fluent in both French and English; additional European languages are a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Avaloq is advantageous.
- Analytical and detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills.
- Quick to adapt to new processes and regulatory changes.
- Reliable, proactive, and well-organized with a collaborative mindset and excellent communication skills.
