Overview
We are seeking a Network Engineer with strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work independently. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting wired and wireless network solutions. This position is based in Amsterdam and will support the company's infrastructure team.
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy data networks following industry best practices (wired and wireless).
- Execute projects within expected timelines and work independently.
- Configure, deploy, troubleshoot, and manage network switches and firewalls.
- Configure, deploy, troubleshoot, and manage wireless networks.
- Diagnose and resolve LAN/WAN and application issues.
- Participate in on-call rotation.
- Occasional travel may be required (<5%).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent experience.
- Experience and Skills:
- 2-3 years designing, deploying, and maintaining network infrastructure.
- 2-3 years working with routing and switching protocols.
- 2-3 years firewall administration experience (specific vendor experience is a plus).
- Familiarity with protocols such as SSH, DNS, DHCP, TFTP, NTP, ARP, TCP, UDP, IPv4, BGP, OSPF, IPSec.
- Ability to troubleshoot cloud-based routing solutions.
- Strong understanding of the OSI model.
- Analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work both independently and in a team.
