Investment Banking Associate | Technology
Selby Jennings is partnering with a Boutique Investment Banking firm to build out their San Francisco office. The firm specializes in SaaS, working in the middle market.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain detailed financial models, including DCF, comparables, and transaction analyses.
- Support execution of M&A, equity, and debt transactions across the technology sector.
- Prepare pitchbooks, client presentations, management presentations, and investor materials.
- Conduct industry, company, and market research to support strategic recommendations.
- Coordinate due diligence processes, data room management, and cross‑functional workstreams.
- Communicate with clients and internal deal teams to advance transaction milestones.
- Mentor and oversee Analysts' work on modeling, research, and deliverables.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, engineering, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in investment banking, preferably in the Tech sector.
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication, writing, and presentation abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Familiarity with financial databases (Capital IQ, PitchBook, FactSet, etc.).
- Interest and knowledge of technology sector trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging markets.
