A leading investment bank is seeking an experienced Associate 2 or Associate 3 to join its highly regarded Infrastructure, Power & Renewables (IPR) team in New York. This team advises strategic corporations, investors, sponsors, developers, and utilities clients on a broad range of M&A transactions. The group is active across power, utilities, renewable energy, energy transition, digital infrastructure, transportation, and other infrastructure-related sectors.

The team offers a unique combination of deep sector specialization, strong transaction flow, and a lean execution environment, providing Associates with significant responsibility and direct exposure to senior bankers and clients.

Responsibilities

Execute M&A, strategic advisory, and capital raising transactions from initiation through closing
Develop and maintain detailed financial models, valuation analyses, and transaction materials
Prepare client presentations, management materials, and pitch books
Conduct industry, company, and market research across infrastructure, power, and energy transition sectors
Manage due diligence processes and coordinate with clients, legal advisors, accountants, and other transaction participants
Work directly with senior bankers on transaction execution and business development initiatives
Mentor and oversee Analysts while helping manage day-to-day deal execution

Qualifications

3-6 years of investment banking experience
Current Associate or recently promoted Associate-level investment banker at a leading investment bank
Strong M&A execution experience and financial modeling skillset
Experience preparing valuation analyses, transaction materials, and client presentations
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Bachelor's degree with a strong academic record

Candidates without direct infrastructure experience will also be considered if they possess strong M&A execution capabilities and a genuine interest in developing expertise within the sector.
