Institutional Equity Sales
We are representing a leading global securities business with a strong institutional franchise and an expanding international footprint. The firm has recently launched its Amsterdam office as part of a broader European growth strategy and is seeking an experienced Institutional Equity Sales professional to help establish and scale its on‑the‑ground presence.
This role is well suited to someone who combines strong European market knowledge with experience servicing APAC‑based institutional investors, and who is motivated by the opportunity to help build a platform from an early stage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage long‑term relationships with institutional clients, including asset managers, hedge funds, pension funds, and other professional investors
- Cover and further develop relationships with APAC‑based institutional clients, acting as a key point of contact from the European platform
- Market cash equities, equity ideas, and corporate access to institutional investors across Europe and Asia‑Pacific
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients by delivering timely market colour, trade ideas, and execution support
- Work closely with internal trading, research, and corporate access teams globally to ensure coordinated client coverage
- Contribute to the build‑out of the newly launched Amsterdam office, including helping to shape coverage strategy and client engagement in the region
- Identify new business opportunities and support the expansion of the firm's institutional client base
- Ensure all activity is conducted in line with regulatory, compliance, and best‑practice standards
The Candidate:
- Proven experience in institutional equity sales within a sell‑side or securities firm
- Demonstrable experience covering APAC‑based institutional clients, either from Europe or on‑the‑ground previously
- Strong understanding of global equity markets, market structure, and execution
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate effectively in a newly established office environment
- Commercially driven, with a track record of client development and revenue generation
- Excellent communication and relationship‑management skills
- Fluency in English is required; additional languages are advantageous
